Good price, but be prepared for some modifications to make it fit
Pleasantly surprised with the quality of this mirror unit. It fits nicely on the car. As described, it's for a left-hand drive model, and my car is right-hand drive - problem solved by mixing the original mounting plate with the new mirror body. My only gripe is that the mirror glass mounting mechanism is not the same as the original unit, so if the glass gets smashed then I'll have to get a whole new unit. But at the price (about half the price of even a second-hand unit from the scrap yards), I'm not complaining.

Easy read, informative
Well written account of the BR development of first DMUs. Covers the different sets that were deployed across the country in lots of detail. Lots of nice photos. I found it a very enjoyable read to learn more about this important piece of railway history.
