    Often overlooked gem
I was pleased to find this series recently released on DVD. I'm not a follower of Neil Gaimen specifically, but this series caught my interest from the start with it's off beat creation of a hidden world that gives new meanings to some well know London locations. The special effects aren't state of the art, but manage to create a distinctive look for the series - think along the lines of other BBC classics like Dr Who and Red Dwarf. You follow the character Richard Mayhew through his journey discovering the world of London Below as he travels with Door and various other characters that assist them in their travels, whilst trying to keep a safe distance from Mr Croup and Mr Vandemar who take a ghoulish delight in their employment as assassins. Enjoyable so long as you're not going to get hung up on the technicalities of the special effects. Those used for the character of the Angel Islington do work very well though - proof you don't have to spend a fortune for something to work well!

A good mix for the casual fan or the car
I'm not usually a big fan of compilations, and particularly not ones like this that are part of a series covering many bands. They usually have a few decent tracks and then fillers. This one doesn't fall into that category though. If you like Ultravox, but aren't a big enough fan to want to get a copy of each of their albums then this is probably the best of the compilations available. It is a double CD which gives more tracks and give a good mix of the better known tracks like Vienna and All Stood Still, as well as lesser known versions like Herr X and Alles Klar (which were probably the tracks that, along with the price, persuaded me to add this to my Ultravox collection). For someone that already has some of the other albums it's quite handy to have in the car :) It's probably also worth noting that there are some of Midge Ure's post Ultravox tracks on here as well.
