Spend a little more, get a lot more
Cheap because it just isn't as good as a more expensive product. Pads move around too much, and movement is not as comfortable as it should be. Spend a little more for some proper shorts and chamois.

Cheap and just as good as higher end ones.
Really cheap and just as good cosmetically and functionally as ultegra front derailleur. One thing is that I found these extremely difficult to adjust so that the chain did not rub either the inside or outside of the cage at the high and low ends of the cassette.

Comfortable but fast wear
Great grips, really comfortable. The bad part is that the little bumps wear off so fast. I've had mine for about three months, maybe 300-400 miles, and the bumps where your upper palm touches are completely gone.
