OK, but slow

Good for small cutting distances or thicknesses. Not good for long cuts in sheets 5cm+ thick. Not powerful enough to stay hot for a long cut through thicker material. Very slow and the 'blade' is not uniformly hot, so need to use a sawing motion to make a long cut in thick material. so its fine if you want to carve at a block or make a few shorter cuts, but not if you want to chop insulation sheets into pieces.

Mine was flawed

I have two. Loved the first, so purchased a second. It was flawed, clutch slipped on drill setting in one of the two gear ratios. Disappointed. Cant be bothered to return, so just wasted cash.

Inexpensive for a reason

Its decent value. However this is not a genuine Ryobi, and my charger never thinks it has finished charging. It is also light for the kind of battery it is supposed to be. You get what you pay for.. its very cheap. Works but i doubt it is the capacity it is supposed to be and i do not know what it means that my charger doesn't seem to be able to complete the charge as it does for genuine Ryobi batteries.
