As a collector of antique and vintage microscopes my interest lies with British examples by Watson along with other quality British & Continental makes - usually mid Victorian to 1950s. My first microscope in 1988 was my dad's old Watson Edinburgh-H with polarising accessories - serial no. 23604 from 1918 and was ex dye-house laboratory. It'd been well used, had withstood the test of time remarkably well and piqued my interest. I've owned dozens of similar instruments since then. I'm always looking to add to my collection and sell-on quality instruments that I've personally used/restored, plus excess items/spares to other enthusiasts and those new to the world of microscopy. I'm happy to help with general tips and advice, whether you're seeking your first microscope or even if you're a seasoned pro - I might just have that elusive instrument or part you're seeking - or I might know where to get one. Please check my listings and Seller Feedback.

This microscope is fantastic! As described. Lighting fast shipping, Scotland to rural east coast U.S. in 3 days. I was shocked. Packaged so well it took 30 minutes to unpack it. Likely took them an hour or better to wrap it so well. Reasonable price. Great communication throughout. I am very happy with entire transaction. Thank you!

I could not ask for a better experience. Communication with the seller was excellent throughout the process. The microscope was packed extremely carefully, bolted to the enclosure so it wouldn't move, and double-boxed. Everything arrived intact, exactly as described. The beautiful instrument is in excellent condition.
Shipping was very quick. Thank you! A+++
