The right tools for the job.
This 1u size module picks a lot of great features into a small space, providing simultaneous pink noise, white noise, square wave/clock, a switchable track and hold or sample and hold circuit and a slew into one compact, but not crowded space.
There are normalised connections between the clock/pulse generator which sets the frequency of the s&h/t&h circuit which is sourced from the white noise source when no other signal is patched in, and finally on to the slew circuit so you can have a smoothed random source of modulation. All of these connections can be broken with patch cables.so for instance you can sync the sample and hold to your systems sequencer clock and feed in a triangle wave lfo into the sample/track input and create stepped waves, and still have a slew generator to use elsewhere. Truly a modular Swiss Army knife.
