CMK 1:32 HVAR Rocket 5 inch (3 pcs) Resin Detail #5079

Extremely Fragile

The item is highly detailed but extremely fragile. The fins are barely paper thin and are extremely brittle. I purchased 2x packages (6x rockets total) and each package had at least 1x fin broken off the rocket and a couple others cracked, while still factory sealed. Additionally, the large disk shaped sprue at the tail end of the rocket is attached to both the rocket body and each fin. Even with a brand new blade, several fins were further damaged or snapped off while attempting to separate them. Fortunately, these were accessories for my son's model he plays with, so I simply shaved all fins off, but if this was for a show model, these are FAR BELOW standard.

2nd One I've Bought, 1x Issue So Far

This is the second kit I've bought of this model over the years and I love it. However, the last on the one purchased in FEB '17, it came missing a Bofors twin 40mm AAA gun. As a modeler, I know this happens occasionally, but its very unfortunate that it is a fairly important piece of the model's armament and the model is in a scale where obtaining a replacement will be difficult to find and/or expensive.
