A Hunny of a Low-Tech Book for Pooh Fans! Worth Seeking Out!

If you have a kid (or an at-heart one!) who really loves the Hundred Acre Wood Gang, Ellison's "Pooh Cook Book" (now "Winnie-the-Pooh Cookbook"), "Pooh Party Book", and this one not only can please the Bear of Very Little Brain's fans, they answer a big question kids should ask…THIS is what kids did before VCRs, DVDs, the World Wide Web, and mobile media!! Just like "Pooh Party Book", "Pooh Get-Well Book" has great recipes, including how to do a thyme-honey infusion for sore throats!! There are games and activities to do while laid-up in bed, from limericks-composing, to simple crafts, and even a kid's guide to North American bird-watching!! Ellison really knew how to put together low-tech to no-tech kids' fun with quotes and inspiration from Pooh and Christopher Robin's world. This and "Pooh Party Book" need to be republished in a modern format, like "Pooh Cook Book" was. We NEED more kids' how-to books like these, before they become too distracted and detached with PlayStations and smartphones. This one could use more recipes, like at least one more for homemade soup, but you'll be looking for excuses to try these out anytime! This book may feature a Bear of Very Little Brain, but he, his pals, and Ms. Ellison will encourage your kids, sick or well, to USE theirs. Great stuff!! A Different Book of Great Ideas and Fun!
