great value and very sharp lens

This Tamron 100-400 Nikon lens is very sharp and of great value. The copy I received is very sharp out of the box and I feel focus is pretty spot on too. It was already running the latest firmware and no issue seen at all with focus tracking etc. I would recommend this lens for anyone considering a smaller lighter lens then the super tele zooms like the Tamron/Sigma 150-600 or Nikkor 200-500mm that all weigh more than 2000 grams. One more thing, this lens only weighs 1140 grams and that makes it very easy for handhold photography like BIF. All the attached pictures were taken by handholding the camera and at 400mm.
