Van misses target.....just
Van the man just falls short of a perfect album here. Since Astral Weeks and Moondance and before that with Them, I have followed the belligerent,miniscule Irishman. My interest waned and then by chance I bumped into him in Hay on Wye at the festival. He was small, rotund, bearded and grumpy....then he performed that evening and was superb. So Van's output is almost always purchased. Good album but not great tho' cover shot and production predictably smooth. For "Van virgins" very good to test the waters.

Disappointing but acceptably so
I bought this because of liking Crowded House. Sadly not in the same league melodically but more than acceptable. I can think of many other albums I'd prefer but I'm glad I spent my cash

SUCK IT UP
The sacks do exactly what they say they will. Can get to be very heavy but do the job
