Pilates Body Control (DVD 2003)
1 of 1 found this helpful This is a good total body toning programme which does not need excessive levels of fitness to undertake. Anyone, of all abilities, can do the simple basic exercises.
Learning how to draw the stomach muscles in correctly and to complete exercises for number of seconds to achieve deep muscle workout. It's all to do with correcting your posture with pyhsiotherapy type excercises and non of the cardio sweating high impact aerobics - this is all LOW IMPACT and therefore, achievable by most.
I was advised to do pilates by my podiatrist, as I have become partially diabled after having double foot surgery.
My ligaments are lax, have tilted heel bones(rear foot varus position) and presently walk with the aid of a stick!! My leg muscles are pretty weak from being unable to do the exercise or walking I once did.
I have found that pilates - doing this routine - well, most of it) and my visits to the gym - (can only do treadmill on slow holding onto bars, horizontal exercise bike to reduce weight on feet, rower and light weights per set) and swimming when I get time, are really helping to strengthen my muscles deeply and my ligaments will benefit from stronger muscle support, as they'll keep my joints supported more effectively. If you get my drift!?!
Lynn Robinson, the lady who promotes this exercise dvd, is a world famous Pilates instructor and she looks fab don't you think? Without looking pumped up like some fitness garus on similar DVD or Videos.
Easy to achieve routine - when you can get the time, let's be realistic here.
With young children and the school run and a house to sort of chaotically maintain, I try my best to do the exercises 3 times a week for 20 minutes (what would take more able people about 12mins!) and during each day I use the rubber band thingy to do the tension exercises, which some you can do whilst sat down or lying on sofa. If you can't manage to get on the floor try doing them on your bed.
Anyway, a good workout and try it for yourself! GOOD LUCK

Very pleased and no smell anymore
Inherited My daughters Fitbit charge 2. Cleaned the dirty strap thoroughly, even using a needle around the sides and sanitised regularly but phew dreadful unpleasant smell. Then got a dermatitis type rash and had to stop wearing the watch. Trying to maintain healthy lifestyle and needed Fitbit tracker So decided to purchase these straps....one teal, one plum, one cerise pink. Brilliant, no sweaty wrist, no unpleasant smell and fits exactly the same. Really pleased.
The first time I attached to watch I found it stiff but fine now and more likely me being worried about snapping it. It didn’t snap!

Great little aid
What a fabulous idea, especially for anyone with a poor grip and / or visually impaired, as this little gadget aid is brightly coloured, has raised dots to help with grip and senses, and is the right size for hands that find picking up small objects difficult.
Bought 2 for my Mum and all the family thought they were great too.
