Album Classic
"Oxeygene" is a milestone in music history, I first haerd the first track from the first album when I was younger,there was a science TV programme called "Where There's Life" hosted by Dr Miram Stoppard and te theme tune to the series was "Oxeygene part 1" I went to a record store and aked about tis piece of music and was shown "Oxeygene" the album and I brought it on Vinyl as CD's were not around back then. It is an iconic piece of electronic/synth music and has stood the test of time. But also the cover art by artist Michael Granger is also iconic and still looks iconic today. I actually had a large poster sized print of the album artwork too at the time. Jean Michele Jarre then released two further albums thus creating an iconic music triliogy.0 yaers have paseed and this triliogy of albums of the complete 'oeygene' suitestill sounds really amazing today. It was ground breaking back in the day and listening to the trilogy today it still sounds amazing. And in this trilogy boxed set all three albums have been brought together aling with all of Michael Granger's stunning art work. It is a definate moment in music history and has stood the test of time,so this 40 yaer anniverssary edition is a fantastic celebration of a truely groundbreakiing series of albums by Jean Michelle Jarre. I love the the music is so loved and that also the incredible album artwork is alo so loved as well,both are really iconic. If you add this to your collection you will not be disappointed and its also a chance for music based nostalgia.This is a great triple cd set in a stuning package.

Emotive Classic
I think this was the last studio album Queen recorded before Freddie's passing. Of their later albums it's become one of my favourites and it is a quietly iconic album. Freddie was very ill during the making of this album and you can see that in the videos they made for the singles from this album. It's a very personal and reflective album and also very emotional. Freddie looking bacl over his life. It has some of his best songs,and still has elements of flare and lyrical drama but also really human lyrics too. I love the track "I'm Going Slightly Mad" and the video Queen/Freddie made is also a favorite and fun, but also has a pathos to it as well. But the stand out song is the beautifull song/ballad "These Are The days Of Our Lives"It's an achingly emotinal song and many say it was Freddies comment on his own situation at the time,but also a reminder to hold onto all that is precious in our lives.Even the way Freddie sings on this album is different. There s not one bad track on this album and I think it has a timeless qquality to it.This album has a mix of joy and sadness. I think it is one of the group's best albums..I love the cover artwork as well which was animated in one of the vidos for the album. and I have a prit of it. It's hand coloured engraving I think and I think it's also one of the groups most Iconic album covers.I guess this album was Freddie's goodbye to the world,his fans. But it's also a celebration and reflecto of a life lived and lived to the full. It's the album I listen to the most. This is one all fans should have, but it's also just a great stand alone album to have as well it's definitly an emotive classic of an album for sure.

Jarre Overview
There have been a fre greatest hits type albums of Jean Michel Jarre's music,but this one was actually complied and put together by Jarre himself and has tracks fom all of his albums through the years.He puts them into catogories of the type of music he's created. If you want a good introduction to his often groundbreaking music this double CD set is a really good place to start. There are tracks from Oxeygene album which was how the world came to know his music. Listening to theis compilation shows just how diverse his music is and how innovative has been and is.He took electronica/synth music into many new directions. This could be seen as a retrospective of his music,so not a typical greatest hits album. I own all of his albums and have seen him live as well. This album is a great introduction to Jarre's music and a great addition to a cd collection
