Great piece of vintage history

These are rare and produced in the early days by Roy Gandi while working at Ford.The Acos arm is really good and as a result the turntable better than you might imagine for something from the mid 70s. Its futuristic in its looks and much undervalued for its form and function. if you see one for sale buy it

B-GRADE Tisbury Audio Domino Phono Preamp - Phono Stage Pre-Amplifier

Surprising quality and sound

I had been aware of Tisbury as a company because of the reviews on the Pre-Amp which I bought a couple of years ago. Well the phono amp impresses me a lot with its unstated classy looks and fantastic build quality. I know from previous experience that it takes some time to run in before you hear the sound quality at its best,but my initial view is that it is comparable if not better than the Project Tubebox I was running. I am using an Ortofon Bronze Quintet MC cartridge and the gain was adequate without using a step up transformer. The gain was easy to alter with a number of clearly marked settings on the base an a handy little tool thoughtfully provided to flip the switches. At the price,what is there to say - try it yourself.
