Poor image quality, fantastic movie.
The major drawback of this DVD is the poor image quality - it only has 356 horizontal lines (a quality DVD would be 480), there are black margins on all four sides, and there are artifacts of incorrect interlacing - I suspect the source was not film but a TV broadcast. It's generally just a blurry, fuzzy picture, even compared to other DVDs from the 1990s.
On the screenshot I uploaded, note the interlacing artifacts on the middle of the steering wheel, the edges of the actor's face, and the tree in the background.
The major upside is that the DVD exists at all. I haven't found any better copy of the movie, and this one was only a few dollars. The sound is fine, and this fantastic story is worth watching even if the picture is blurry.
