Decades on, even more compelling than when freshly published
1 of 1 found this helpful A stonking good read, highly entertaining, whilst at the same time a very sad story of human invincibility over nature. Reading this 20+ years after its original publication date, you can now 'Google' the species that are covered in its pages and 'tick off' those that have 'gone extinct'. Not a pleasant game, but in the sadness lies a message of hope - both for humanity and the plethora of species with which we share planet Earth.
Douglas's best book.

Bad Science permeates our society
1 of 1 found this helpful Great book that leans much more towards bad science in medical-related issues than science generally, but if you're human, you will want to hear what it says.
