Ronseal Knot Block Primer & Undercoat White - 750ml

Time will tell !

I bought this to cover some extremely knotty skirting boards. I put on two coats of KnotBlock and it seemed to cover well. Then I overcoated with two coats of satin finish paint. The problem with reviewing this is that it has only been done for a couple of weeks so I am relying on the reputation of Ronseal and hope it " does exactly what it says on the tin" ! I feel confident that it will be effective if that is any help.

Ideal for house sparrows

I bought these to go on a house sparrow "terrace" ( a box divided into 3 with 3 entrance holes of 32mm) They are nice and neat, the correct size hole and look quite strong. Too early to tell if any sparrows will use the box, but it looks very inviting ( to a sparrow ! )

CHEAP TO RUN AND NOT TOO LARGE

I bought 2 cool 5w versions of this bulb to light a small work surface. They are about the size and shape of a typical old type incandescant bulb and look nicer than the spiral CFL bulbs in my opinion. The light is a nice, bright white, with good colour rendering and, being LED bulbs, the power consumption is much less than the old style bulbs ( these 5watt bulbs are rated as equivalent to an old 40 watt bulb. There are also warmer and cooler versions available I believe.
