Getting Stuck with Multiple HDD

It does seem to getting stuck over and over again when multiple hard disks are connected on its USB 2.0 ports. I connected a couple of Western Digital Passport hard-drives on its USB ports and I have to admit that the setup gets stuck about 6 times in a day. To resolve this I have to unplug the setup from laptop and wait for some time and plug it again which is a bit annoying considering that it is going to stuck again soon.
