Stable trail runner
I use this shoe as a trail runner. It's a little heavier than some of the other cascadia shoes but it has a nice stable platform and absorbs the impact of rocks on the trail. From year to year the design is fairly consistent so I haven't had to abandon it as I have other models due to dramatic changes in design. I have used these on mountain trails but currently use them mostly on grass or shell-filled paths. They work fine on both and even run well on pavement. I have a very narrow foot and use my own inserts inside. Without an insert, they would run very wide. As it is, I have a lot of room in the toe box but the heel is secure. Generally I can get 6 months out of them if I am running 15-20 miles a week. I use them afterward at work as I work a lot on my feet.
