Need sizes up to 13 mm or more but now only up to 10 mm available?
1 of 4 found this helpful Good quality drill bits but I really wanted to buy the same as my old set which went up to 13 mm instead of only 10 mm (for roughly the same price) so I was disappointed because I couldn't find the larger set available anywhere!

Minor Upgrades Required
1 of 1 found this helpful Smaller than ideal for the gable end at the front of my bungalow. I bought a thrust bearing and need to weight the nose to bring the centre of gravity forward to aid rotation in the wind. I added 4 stainless washers as spacers and twisted the propeller so that it will spin clockwise in the wind (so the bolt stays tight). It’s a pity these mods are not part of the original design but they only cost a few pounds extra. I will seal the bearing with a small spray paint cap and piece of sponge from a washing up pad. Need some good quality sealant to keep the water out from above.

Too Flexible for long straight cuts?
I used this to cut a granite kitchen worktop in a good quality circular saw but despite using a straight guide the cut was wavy, not straight and it took more effort than should be necessary. The disc appears to be too flexible allowing it to deviate. A slightly thicker disc is therefore necessary for a 9 inch diameter. I have used similar stone cutting discs (slotted) with more success in the past. I had chosen this simply due to the shortage of stone cutting discs available with a 30 mm inner diameter. The centre bush has to be pushed / pressed out for it to become 30 mm. It may work okay for thin material but you could use a smaller / cheaper cutter / saw for thin material.
