I am giving this product the benefit of the doubt as the problems I faced (and am facing) may be self inflicted
The screen and digitizer ribbon connectors are fiddly on the iPhone 5 and after turning off the phone and fitting the new screen, the baccklight wouldn't turn on. I suspected my work rather than the product and struggled for several hours to make sure all the ribbon cables were correctly attached. The work included some "hot disconnects" of the battery, as I couldn't turn the phone off with a blank screen.
In the end, unable to improve the result, I put the phone on charge and left it. To my surprise everything was working when I came back to it.
* The screen, button, digitizer and backlight work fine if the battery is over 90% AND the charger is connected.
* If the screen remains on, everything continues to work as long as there is some juice left in the battery, even if I disconnect the charger,
* If the screen is allowed to sleep it will not wake again unless charger is connected and battery at 90%.
I don't know if this is because of:
A. damaged connectors due to all my messing around.
B. a faulty screen
C. A faulty or damaged battery (due to my messing around). I have ordered a new one.
The original screen worked fine, despite the glass being broken.

Not amazing, but does exactly what it should and does it well.
Does exactly what it should. Fits perfectly and protects the phone. Made of clear, glossy material.
As I am not amazed, the product is not amazing, but it is worth five stars.
