Sockets are too close together

It's fine except the two sockets are too close together. All of the headsets I own have plugs with a usual amount of plastic around the plug. But when you try to put the speaker and mic plugs into the sockets, they squish against each other. I have managed to force the plugs into the sockets but I suspect that something will end up damaged because of this. You could trim some plastic off your headset plugs so that they fit into the splitter better.
