Another great Yardbirds in 1968 release!
Excellent Yardbirds 1968 expanded collection of their BBC recordings. Well done cover notes by Chris Welch. The French TV three song DVD is invaluable for anyone interested in this period of The Yardbirds, only months prior to Jimmy Page taking the helm and transforming them into Led Zeppelin before 1968 was out. Tastefully done and complementary artwork on both the LP and DVD; the album pressed on thick white vinyl and safely housed in a sturdy inner sleeve. Though many a fan will have some or all of these recordings, particular attention has been placed on scheduling tracks in the correct order as much as possible and using seemingly the best available BBC audio. The Bouton Rouge TV quality is the highest I have seen of this set and the DVD alone makes this a worthwhile purchase. All in all a wonderful companion piece to the relatively recent Dreja/McCarty/ Page sanctioned Yardbirds '68 release and worth seeking out.
