Don’t think, just buy.
1 of 1 found this helpful Just a beautiful lens. For a lens built in the 70s/80s I’m amazed because it is just as sharp as my Fujinon lenses made in 2014. But this is Leica, so that should be no surprise. This is one of the best value Leica lenses you can buy right now, and you should absolutely cop to see what the hype is about. People seem to be enthused on wide angle lenses but I have a feeling we’ll swing back to an appreciation for telephoto pretty soon. Cop before prices raise that’s all I’m saying. And enjoy your time with this beautiful lens, so much that you won’t wanna sell when prices raise anyways. That’s the goal after all.
I used this for a wedding and it performed right up to par with my autofocus Fujinon lenses. No way the client would be able to tell this is a ‘vintage’ lens because it’s just as good as new.
By the way, I don’t even own a Leica camera. I’m adapting to Fujifilm X-series cameras. I do plan on picking up a Leica body in the future, so this lens serves two beautiful purposes.
