There IS a difference!
1 of 1 found this helpful Recently, my normally naturally curly, healthy hair became limp, dry and refused to hold color - including the most subtle of highlights. My hairdresser and I discussed several possibilities and decided it was probably due to a new migraine medicine I'm on, but I tried a few different shampoos/conditioners just in case. They didn't help much. At my last visit, she asked me what type of hair dryer I was using. When I told her, she suggested I try something better. Using the parameters she gave me, and researching products by review and price, I found the Elchim 3900 Ionic Dryer. Truly I thought it would be another disappointment. It was not.
The dryer itself is a bit more compact than what I was used to, but a bit heavier. Not a big deal. I dry my hair and style it right after. Typically, right after drying, my hair would look dry, damaged and out of control. The first time I used the Elchim I was pleasantly surprised to see that my hair looked sleek, shiny and smooth. I was so stunned, I sought out my husband to show him. OK, he wasn't as excited as I was - but, I still had to show someone! My hair is healthier and looks far better.
If you're investing in salon hair products, expensive stylists, extensions, etc. and are still using that $49 Conair, do yourself a favor and get a good dryer. This one is very, very good.
