Once upon a time

Once upon a time, 'The Water Margin' was one of my all time favorite T V programes, growing up in London in the late 1970s. Going to an all girls school, this programe was watched by many between the ages of 11 to 18, as we would all gave school girl cruhes on the lead male character. The theme music also became very ironic ( getting to No.1 I believe for quite a few weeks on the trot) with it's sweeping musical introductions as to aline itself to an rousing fanfare, that heralds the heros of the story. In a story old as time, good verses evil. For us school girls, that was a beautiful female warrior, who could also rasily hold her own in any situation. I bought 'The Water Margin' box set, to relieve wonderful old memories, of watching this with my Mother and talking over all the good parts of action. I realise now what blood thirsty school girls we were! Also what a culture shock we all experienced, enjoying a programe with subtitles! But been swept away with it all😊 Watching The Water Margin will also let me compare the Kdrama I have also taken to watching since the first lockdown. In the end, or could could also say, even today I am still being swept away by a wonderful culture and their style of telling and acting great stories.
