The greatest moment of human exploration comes alive
This is one of the greatest books written about space exploration. Apollo 8 finally gets the recognition it so richly deserves as perhaps the most significant moment of human exploration. It explains a legacy which still inspires us today, and places the astronauts and their achievements in their historical context perfectly.

A remarkable new talent.
This is such a compelling book. Traversing generations, it provides a wonderful journey through the black American experience and shows the roots of so many problems in the US today. The characters are vivid and so perfectly created, and hold your interest until the last page. Powerful, revealing, it welcomes a remarkable new talent in Tara M Stringfellow.

Not life changing, but full of the warmth and joy of happier times.
Elvis spoundtracks are very much a personal choice. I just happen to love Girl Happy, and it's a perfect example of why ebay exists. The title song is classic mid sixties Elvis, bouncing with all the summer exuberance the title implies. Do Not Disturb and Puppet On a String are wonderful ballads, and the so called filler is simple, joyous pop music. There's no extras, no rare outtakes or alternative versions. You get exactly what you asked for - the soundtrack to a goofy, fun movie that should bring a smile to the face of everyone who saw first (or 51st) time around. Don't get too precious about Elvis' soundtracks. Use them as memory joggers that allow you to go back to a simpler time for all of us. They're not going to change the face of popular music, but they are guaranteed to make you feel good, and what on earth is wrong with that?
