WD MyPassport 500GB Hard Drive

I love this little MyPassport.
The MyPassport works fantastic. It is nearly silent, and very portable. If you took it out of the protective case, you could easily slide it in a jeans or coat pocket and depending on the jeans or coat - perhaps it would even work in the case.
MyPassport comes in different sizes and so while I am tempted to say "it holds a lot!" that would be a pointless observation as it could be said of anything that holds an equivalent number of gigabytes (in my case 500).
I was excited to see that it connects just as quickly and easily to Linux as it does to Windows and it doesn't seem slow or lag at all. I have issues on occasion with an SD card freezing up or lagging but it is not the case with MyPassport. Any minor instances of lag I have experienced, it recovered on its own and quickly.
I used an external backup hard drive a long time ago and it was slow and clunky and eventually would lock up rendering it useless. Given my terrible experience with the first external hard drive I ever used (at a place of business no less), I was nervous about trusting one for my own backups - which are mostly photos and of course, memories.
The only way I could see the MyPassport feeling any more solid or trustworthy is if it was a solid state drive but of course, that would also entail a lot more money. So, for now, this works great for my needs at a very reasonable cost.

Very nice, sticky, thick film.
I got my dad a Nokia Lumia 710 to replace his old LG flip phone. My dad is rough on phones and when we went to take the battery out of the LG, the back of the phone and even the inside had dirt. This protector keeps the phone safe while in his pocket and despite the rough treatment he gives it, the screen stays safe. The only problem we have is that it's bubbled quite a bit but that may be because originally it was mistakenly installed with the plastic piece the film comes attached to. Overall, I would highly recommend.

So good I would like to buy another!
I want to buy another of these!! I really love the quality of this. It’s light, obviously, but it feels very sturdy. The lanyard is nice and big, but not huge, and the button clasps firmly. The only thing is that the cards might be a little difficult to get out of their pockets, especially if you put an ID card in. But they stay in place nicely. Really love this!!
