Get a Grip - Get a Trip!!
2 of 2 found this helpful Carry a Trip and you carry a point and shoot camera capable of holding its own, image-wise, with nearly all other 35mm cameras up to all but the largest of enlargement sizes. Virtually silent in operation - prob only you will hear it go off. Always immediately ready for candid work unlike digital where the subject has moved on by the time the camera has become ready for use. My Olympus pocket digital really has nearly been binned on many occasions in frustration at being too slow for catching that Decisive Moment!! Waste of time - get a Trip!! Pretty acceptable lowlight results to be had using 400asa film and the 2.8 setting. Always go for silver buttons as they were better made internally. Gamble on a real bargain - repair is easy if you check out the web for instructions + light seal replacement is a doddle and most advertised cheaply with loose lens only need a simple tightening of 3 screws just under the selenium cell to bring them back to A1 health. Always get one with working meter / selenium cell and keep it covered when not in use. Olympus OM system user since 1979 - there is no discernible difference in image quality between the Trip and OMs at standard print size. My first Trip was bought years ago pre-eBay on a market stall - virtually mint and cost £10 with flash and orig lens cap. Now everyone knows about them being gems!! Get one before prices get really silly - already these have disappeared from charity shops at charity / bargain prices. Recently had to tighten the lens on my original Trip but now its as flawless as ever. If I had to choose one film camera to survive the digital age with it would be a Trip. Plenty of info backup available on the web too. It's worth mentioning as I often see Trips on here offered as being pre 1970 that very early ones will only go up to 200asa and will have all 4 distance symbols in orange. Check before you bid. Date codes suggesting otherwise may be the result of a replacement back having been fitted at some point. Certainly serial numbers of 200asa / all orange symbol models will be well under 1 million - 6 figure around the one hundred thousand plus mark.

A1 Transaction.and item
Well made and does the job. Can't fault it. Item is of high quality. Major selling point for me was that at last I'd found a replacement for my 2010 Mazda3 2L Sport iStop main battery. It's the same dimensions as the old one unlike the direct "Reg number" search web results I had from other main battery suppliers who endlessly suggest ones that are far too wide to fit in the car!
Not S/Start spec but works fine for me as I don't use my stop/start
N.B Don't overlook the spare terminal sleeves that might be hiding inside the plastic terminal caps when you remove them like I did. I only noticed after purchasing some elsewhere.
