This is a great book specific to the southwest.

I use this book often. It has great pictures & understandable descriptions. It is good to know which minerals are specific to the southwest.

Never too late to Learn

I have enjoyed the lectures by Professor Renton very much. He is easy follow; especially with the study guides included. I'm 70 years old. I started collecting minerals about 6 or 7 years ago. I have studied geology for about that long. However, I jumped a little ahead. These lectures start in the beginning, about 13.7 billion years ago. Very interesting. I highly recommend this product.

It's the best.

I use a lot of geology books. I now have 2 of the Audubon Society books. They are, by far the best field guide available.
