my experience

I used this adapter to connect my pc 5.1 surround sound system to my TV I had to convert 3x 3.5mm audio jacks to 2x AV using this adapter, then convert it again to a single 3.5mm audio jack to connect it to my single 3.5mm port in my TV. My sound system did not work when I connected it to my AV port in the TV Also, the surround effect did not work But hey, the sound is amazing and all speakers work now, so.. it's all good
