Like them so much, I bought 2.
2 of 2 found this helpful Excellent product. Because it's universal / uses it's own lcd display / controls, you can attach it to pretty much any head unit. The only drawback is having to use the display to change channels.
But if you wan to keep your existing head unit, don't have HD-R, this is a great way to go. Very much worth the effort imho.
Take the time to drill some holes in the top / sides / bottom. It's said they get very hot otherwise. I did and have no issues at all with heat. A bit warm, but that's it. Also, if you're going to use the RCA jacks, they need to be grounded. There are 2 ways to do it: 1) wrap some wire around them and ground the wire. 2) solder a piece of 24ga wire from the RCA jack common ground pin to the ground pin coming in from the power plug. I did the later and it was quite easy.
Of course, you can avoid using the RCA jacks completely if you want and just use the FM modulation (over the antenna wire). That's what I'm going with, the sound is fantastic. As is the reception!

Good product, seems new. I wish they would have come individually packaged as the picture shows. I got 4 and they were all together in a generic bag, no honda product number on it. Thus I have no idea if they are used and re-polished. All I can say **for sure** is they look new.
