Walk the Line-Best of 2005
1 of 3 found this helpful Even though this movie takes you through the wringer emotionally, you exit the theater feeling great and hopeful---like all negatives can be overcome and all wrongdoing can be redeemed into a better life. Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon are "on" with their characters of Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash, and even though I don't know of any music style I like less than country music, I loved this movie and thought it should have received the Best Movie Oscar. Great screenplay, excellent directing, and superlative acting make this a must-see.

Eats, Shoots & Leaves by Lynne Truss
For those of us who love nuances and plays on words, who are particular about where our apostrophes and ellipses are placed---this is the book! Lynne Truss has a sense of humor and an appreciation of precision (British) English Language. These two combine to make excellent writing and better reading.
