New Epson V550 Scanner replaces my old Epson 1670.
I bought this to replace a 10 yr old Epson Perfection 1670 scanner. The V550 operates very similarly (which I like, so not much relearning) and uses the same interface app on Windows. Good that it takes more slides & negatives than the 1670, pity it didn't have an even bigger capacity for more and larger transparencies in each scan. It's also a pity the slide and negative holders do not store in the lid as was the case with the 1670.

Different button layout, but seems to have all functions
Doesn't always work with Topfield DVR unit. Not sure which is the problem.
