An oldie but a goodie!
2 of 2 found this helpful I had one of these way back, and decided to get one for testing. Yes, it’s heavy, doesn’t have the slickness of modern cameras, but the lens is wonderful. I took some shots with my Fuji XT-1 fitted with the 35mm F1.4 (50mm equivalent) and then the same shots with the Sony set at the same focal length. I preferred the Sony shots: should tell you all you need to know!

Panasonic FZ30
There is a wide range of cameras available everywhere, but eBay provided me with an FZ30 which I wanted because I had so much enjoyed owning one a few years ago. I have moved into semi-pro DSLR territory now but the FZ30 is still a great camera. More than enough megapixels for most people, if kept under ISO200 the results are very good. The zoom lens range is really useful and the whole package is less than the weight of my DSLR body alone!
For those who prefer more control one can select RAW mode and Adobe Lightroom handles the files very well. Cameras in this class - especially at eBay prices - are a great deal.

Great product - very fast
I got this for my Fuji XE-1 - there is quite a lot of stuff around that the Fuji cameras benefit greatly from a faster card. That proved to be true - writing to the card is speedy and when I put the card in my MacBook Air to get the images the speed is excellent. This is a really good product and if your camera will benefit (and particularly if you want to shoot RAW images which are much larger than JPEG's) a really worthwhile investment. eBay's price was the best.
