Snug Rubber Dog Balls - Tennis Ball Size - Tough, Durable, Virtually Indestructi
18 Jul, 2018
Dog balls to die for !
Searched for dog exercise balls that were very bouncy but also chew-resistant. Tried many different types but they were either not bouncy enough or they were not tough enough to resist dedicated chewers. Answer: Buy these balls.
Clive James In Japan - DVD Region 4
13 Apr, 2017
Clive v Joanna
Travelling to Japan on holidays so we thought we would get some background information away from the beaten track. The way we chose to do this was to get Clive James veteran TV series (which I remembered fondly from my youth) and compare it to Joanna Lumley's tour of the country which appeared on TV recently. Amazing how the approaches differ over the span of 30 odd years. Clive is much less politically correct (reflecting the times when the series was made) but both are amusing and provide a useful insight into what for most is still a mysterious culture. Joann's account is more ordered as she travels from north to south in this large country whereas Clive employed a scatter-gun approach. Both, however, are humorous and informing. To be honest the differences between the lifestyles they encountered in Japan seem quite small which is surprising considering the decades which have passed. Both have whetted our appetites to find out more before and during our vacation.
The Thirteenth Floor DVD (2000) Craig Bierko

Underrated
Stumbled upon this whilst on vacation - it was in an rental apartment so had no choice in its selection. VERY surprised and impressed and it has become a family favourite. Underrated by reviewers yet many of the themes and concepts it contains have been 'borrowed' by other big budget films since. Well acted with believable characters (which is ironic given the plot). The best parts are in the reconstructed 1940s America and the inevitable twist(s) at the end.
