Excellent coals, why look elsewhere.
No problem, a large variety of big and smaller lumps.
Very easy to light, I use one or two fire lighters and soon up and heating.
Once lit and up to temp, I cook the food and shut the Kamado down. The remaining coal dies down and ready for the next meal.
My best use was when I cooked a large beef brisket, I lit the coals at 5am, set the Kamado for a slow burn and put the beef on about 5.45am. The beef was ready about 2pm. I let the coals burn for another hour then turned the heat up changed the rack settings and placed vedgetables on a rack, carrots, potatoes etc. All cooked perfectly and the meat was so tender and tasty.
I then turned the Kamado off, the coals were still hot at 8.30pm. The next day there was still coals to be raked and used again that day.
Perfect.

Give it a try
Once a month one tablet mixed with chemical. Flushed down the toilet and leave.
No smells and toilet waste cleared.
