Surefire ProComp
The Surefire ProComp 308 works great, Reduces recoil and the 90 degree blast signature is not crazy bad. I have installed two of these, one on a .308 barrel and another on a 6.5 Creedmoor. Both function flawlessly. if you don't need a muzzle device that allows the installation of a suppressor this is your best choice for 5/8-24 threads. The cost is definitely the most reasonable, no other company has a high quality brake for this kind of money.

Excellent tactical features and the price cannot be beat.
4 of 4 found this helpful I am not new to the Vortex product line, I have a Viper PST 2.5-10X32mm FFP and a Razor Gen I 1-4X24mm FFP both of which are outstanding rifle scopes. This most recent purchase was to obtain a little more magnification capability with all the same tactical features I have become accustom to. The scope zeroed quickly and tracking spot is on. If you compare this scope to others with similar features, Vortex wins hands down. For under a $1000.00 the Viper PST line are the Cadillac's. Buy one, you will not be disappointed.
