Comedy size dumbbells, which do NOT combine to a single barbell (despite reviews )

These feel like Comedy size dumbbells.
The handles are too long
The weight plates are plastic(vinyl) so have a huge circumference A 1.25kg is the size of a dinner plate
the spinlocks do not go on easily (laborious to thread down the bar, let alone tighen quickly)
I (mistakenly) had the impression from the reviews that the 2 x dumbbells could be put together to make a barbell. Does not appear to be the case, these are just dumbbells.
Spend a bit more and get metal free weights or a single barbell with plastic plates. This is the worst of both worlds,
If it was not going to cost me a fortune to post back 20kg I would return them. Save yourself £50
