Hot tubes - sound great!
The Sovtek 6N1P is a nice replacement for an E88C or 6922. Fair warning: these run a bit hotter so check with your equipment maker first. They produce really crisp highs and booming lows with less distortion than my old Amperex 6922 set. The price and quality make these my every day use tubes in my preamplifier.

Beautiful sounding power amp designed by John Curl.
4 of 4 found this helpful Very nice audiophile-quality amp designed by John Curl in the late 1990's. Good quality components throughout. One thing to be aware on the used market is that there is a simple toggle switch on the back that switches in between stereo mode and mono-block mode. During transport and handling, this switch can easily break and the result is the left channel will appear to be dead. It is a standard 3-pole toggle PCB mount toggle switch that can be replaced if you are inclined to do a bit of soldering.
