Good, but it depends on what are you looking for
When I got my first Auto World slot cars I was hyper excited on the level of detail they have. They also run well. However, when I started to read more and more about other people gripe on them, I started to scratch my head, and question my own taste. However:
- I am a collector, not a racer, and least a professional slot car racer. I expect my slot cars to look good and function. Auto World cars do that and that's enough for me. I have never tried to do a fastest lap with them, and probably Tycos, AFX and Life Likes will do faster.
- If you are looking for affordable, good looking cars, with also a very broad and diverse selection of castings - of course, more oriented toward American cars -, Auto World are a very good choice. Besides, if you want performance, you can swap the chassis for others and try harder on them.

Fun to drive, skill required
This slot car comes with a Johnny Lightning "T-Jet" type chassis, which means: No base magnets. It isn't a pocket-rocket, but you don't want to go super fast when the car is very unstable on turns, drifting on every corner you have on your layout. To me, they are more fun to drive, but maybe for younger people it may be frustrating to see your car spin out every time you push the throttle to full. The body is good looking and if you want to upgrade it with a more robust chassis, wheels or tyres, you may have a little winner. As a stock car, you get a cheap, fun, but slow slot car; however as all convertibles it can be fragile, especially because of the windshield.

Save room, not fun
1 of 2 found this helpful I like to play videogames with old style joysticks. Also, I have trust in the Hori brand - I have my other consoles with either Hori or ASCII joysticks -, so that narrowed my search.
I saw many complaints about the size of this joystick, however I don't see it as a bad thing. It's small as a NES Advantage. That makes it easy to store.
Another good thing is that this joystick is compatible with both Playstation 3 and 4.
My gripes about this item, however, are:
- Joystick "throw": You have to move it far from the center, and I prefer quicker response.
- Lack of turbo switch: This is the only Hori joystick I have without turbo.
- Compatibility: The joystick is recognized only as the equivalent of the D-Pad, not the analog thumbs. This is fine when using your old PlayStation 1 games on your PS3, but will be an issue with more modern titles.
