In summary, there is very little to be disappointed about with this phone.
As somebody who has been using a Galaxy Note 3 for just over a year now, I can say that this is easily one of the best phones that I have ever had the privilege of owning. I liked it enough that recently I dropped a bit of money to get another one for use on my prepaid plan. Honestly, ever since going to the Note 3, I just can't go back to other phones.
Something major about this phone is that it is fast. I mean insanely fast. Even when I flashed it to run a full version of Ubuntu, it had only the very slightest of hiccups and that I put down to it being a phone and not a full on computer. This phone pushes every limit that phones have, I guess that's the benefit of it being a phone/tablet hybrid. The S-pen, what a beauty. I never thought I would use it, but after playing around with sketchbook for Galaxy (something that this phone actually comes with), I can't love it more. Who needs a drawing tablet when you have something that functionally is very similar to paper (in digital form)? Even without the pen, this phone has almost unmatchable accuracy on the screen (something that really should not need to be mentioned on a phone with a capacitive screen, but it gets a mention anyway because of experiences I have had with past phones). The small speaker on the bottom blew me away when I heard how good it sounded. It's not particularly loud, but it is very full in how it sounds, one reason I would never go to an iPhone 6+. Even the call speaker is amazing. As far as video goes, I would have liked to see some optical stabilization since the digital stabilization does not function in 4K mode (making that mode only useful if you can find a way to mount the phone on a tripod) and the 5 minute limit, in my opinion, is really kind of silly, but hey, it's a 4K camera that fits in your pocket and the audio on the video sounds very good nine times out of ten even when recording loud things like concerts (though at that point, you might want to find a way to switch over to the unfiltered microphone--lgCamera is an app that has that ability). The size is not really a bother to me as my hands are, as people at school and work put it, freakishly large, but even for somebody with more normal sized hands, this phone has ways that you can adapt it to be more friendly to smaller hands. I think the only major drawback to this phone is that the battery leaves a bit to be desired. There are aftermarket solutions for that, however. I believe there exists a battery (with an included case) that you can get for this phone that will allow it, with very heavy use (similar to what I use it for), to function for more than a day. There is even a way, if you really feel brave, adventurous, and tech-savvy, to flash iOS onto this phone. You really cannot lose with this thing.

An amazing home video camera, BUT...
I must say, in terms of camcorders, Sony sure does know how to put out a reasonably decent flagship and this camcorder is no exception. The images are nice and sharp even before post production, the 60p option is a lifesaver considering QTGMC (a high quality deinterlacing filter for use with 480i or 1080i video) is as slow as it is, the 96GB coupled with a 256GB card makes for more recording time than even I know what to do with and the balanced SteadyShot is a nice touch. Overall, the camcorder is amazing (I should mention the USB arm for charging OR data transfer). Right off, all you need is a battery. Now, remember I made a point to say "BUT" in the title? That has to do with the zoom. Unfortunately, Sony seems to have dropped the ball in 2011 and 2012 from my testing. When in standby, it functions as expected, but in recording, when using the zoom at full speed, it occasionally has a 0.2 second lag between hitting or releasing the lever and something happening. Thos can be a problem if you are trying to get a specific shot. The slower speeds have better control, but there is a mild learning curve. For that reason, I cannot recommend the camcorder to everybody, but if you are willing to figure it out, the camcorder is otherwise quite the buy. I cannot overstate this no matter how hard I try. This camcorder does amazingly at its intended purpose (of recording video).
