If you are a fan of the Pellinor Series this is a must read!
This book is amazing! It is the third book in the Pellinor Quadrillogy and definatly not one to miss out on! If you've read the previous books, you'll know that the foretold one (Maerad) has a brother (named Hem) who her and Cadavan (Her mentor) found in a ransacked Pilaniel Caravan. Well, instead of the book following Maerad, it picks up on Hem's adventure with Saliman (his mentor) on the way to Saliman's homeland of Turbansk. There are points of major tension in this book which keeps you hooked and cannot put it down! From the first page where you catch up with a young 10 year old pale Hem, who is a rude and is generally disliked boy to the end of the book, where he is a well respected olive-skinned tall, calm and mature young man. The only bad part in this book is one I saw coming, but did not want to happen and I felt emotionally connected to the characters, showing Croggon's talent as a writer.
