Dyson DC14 back to work
I followed an excellent YouTube video, dismantled my "dead" DC14, removed the old non functioning motor, replaced it with this new one, reassembled the DC14 (following the video) and it now works fine. This is a compatible but not identical motor, the wires are slightly different colours, blue instead of the black on the original motor and the connections come from either side on the brush fittings rather than a central spot but as they are longer that is not a problem. It is identical in size and takes the rubber covers from the DC14, the connections are compatible and it fits in your Dyson. Most importantly it works, I now have a fully functioning Dyson with a new motor, new filters and all for about 30 minutes work and less than £20!

Good for model making
1 of 1 found this helpful I am sure this is excellent insulation foam but I am using it for making scenery for diaromas. It cuts really well with a craft knife and hot wire. It is quite rigid and it does take roller patterns and indentation but it does require a lot of pressure and it is not easy to get very fine patterns. It is also brittle enough that you can snap it if it is unsupported and you apply pressure. I would happily buy it again and I may buy the 6mm to see if that takes impressions better.
