Outstanding Recordings of Schubert by Mitsuko Uchida

This is a high quality product, recorded in a good studio with experienced sound engineers, well placed microphones, and full digital stages for recording, mixing and final storage (DDD.) The performer is without doubt deeply experienced in her repertoire, and it shows in a sensitive and confident performance. The packaging is cardboard box with eight CDs in individual sleeves. There is also a booklet describing the recorded works and their history.

This is a wonderful, high quality recording of La Wally. It is better than the Renata Tabaldi recording - the original archive tape had damage you can hear on CD1, track 17.
