Sticks like glue and really covers.
I bought this to revive a well worn area of decking that was already several years old when I acquired and rebuilt it. It had been painted in its past life. I spent several hours with a wire brush and a stiff broom to clean it and remove the loose paint before I started painting. The Ronseal paint is quite expensive, so I made sure to give it the best possible chance of sticking. The deck is about 13 square metres, so I was a bit worried about coverage. They suggest two coats on 10 square metres for the 2.5 litre tin. I needn't have worried. It stuck like glue, and covered really well in one coat. I think their quoted coverage must be for timber in fairly good condition, because I haven't got much paint left !
We've just had our first real rain since I painted the deck, and the water is just sitting on the surface.
