I like Pioneer

I’ve had a number of Pioneer AV devices over the last 20 years or so, from plasma tv’s to universal DVD players, blu ray players, and now a universal uhd player. They’ve all been great, if a little on the pricey side, but they say you get what you pay for, and I tend to agree. The LX500 is built like a tank, and almost as heavy as one too. I like the styling, it looks purposeful, and the remote is intuitive to use. As this version is region free I’ve tried it with region A discs, and it doesn’t miss a beat. The only slight downside is that region selection for blu rays isn’t automatic, but selecting the region is a single button press. I love this player, and don’t regret spending nearly a grand on it. Based on previous experience with Pioneer, reliability isn’t going to be a problem, so I’m looking forward to many years service.
