Get the best results soldering brass.

I bought it to solder brass using special brass solder. As long as the surfaces are very clean the flux helps to ensure that when the metal is at the correct temperature for the solder to melt (at least 145deg C) the flux then helps the molten solder to “flow” over join giving a strong heat finish.

A slightly corroded area on a car rear ...

A slightly corroded area on a car rear sill and wheel arch. Preparation involved rubbing down to bare metal and treating with rust converter. After mixing the necessary amount of P38 it was applied slightly higher than the surrounding area leaving a gap where two separate panels adjoined It was allowed to harden and then rubbed down, smoothing the edges seamlessly and following the original curves. Imperfections were filled with a small second mix until rubbed completely smooth and to shape.

Excellent repairs in extreme heat. Long lasting metal replacement.

The ash pan on our open fire had rusted through in parts. I could find no new replacement unless it was specially commissioned. I used a metal patch and JB Weld Extreme heat to make a thorough and effective repair.
