Colin Davis is the pre eminent conductor of Berlioz.
Colin Davis is by far the best interpreter of Berlioz, however, the recordings he did on the LSO Live label are mostly awful, they used baffles on the microphones to remove ordiance noise which caused thin and weedy sound.
These older recordings are massively better, hence I’m slowly managing to get the compete Berlioz works one old recordings

Good recording and performance
Very good performance and recording, I’ve got a number of recordings of this work, and this stands out.

Very ergonomic looking and very accurate temperature wise
It’s accurate, it switches on when it drops to the degree C below where you’ve set it and clicks off one degree above what you’ve set it on.
