One of her best!
Couldn't put it down. Anyone who has read one of Walters books knows what to expect-twists and turns with a final surprising and satisfying ending I actually had to read the last page twice.

Not for every one...
A classic and really funny in a very English way. A movie was made I think in the 70 s.Reading the book made me want to see it again.Not for everyone-but if you like it you will really like it.

Better than the Movie!
Saw the movie about this history of Queen Ann and her favorites Sara Churchill and Abigail Hill. Book was better!. Jean Plaidy is a good writer. She does substantial research for all of her books,yes they are fiction but about real people and real events. The Stuarts have always fascinated me. If you like a good story and an interesting read choose this book.
