If you like unbelievable cop heroes, you will like this.
Idris Elba, slightly less believable as a British policeman than he was as an American gang leader in The Wire, calmly deals with everything a tragic universe throws at him. There is loads of plot, loads of action and personal disaster on the level of Greek tragedy. Through it all strides slowtalking Luther, capable of dealing with anything.
